THE VILLA WAS COMFORTABLE, CLEAN AND HAD A LOVELY VIEW OF THE MARSH.THE ONLY THING WAS THAT THE COMMUNAL TRASH AREA WAS NOT VERY CLEAN
One of the best views we have had anywhere on the SC coast.
Quiet location, great view of marsh, moonlight, ocean, deer, egret, creek, etc.
We only were able to stay for 4 days because of scheduling conflicts. But, what a wonderful 4 days they were. The home is very comfortable and the island is beautiful. Because we biked everywhere on the island, we came back in better shape than when we left! We are planning a return visit.
an architect for several villa complexes. I find it sad and apauling that the majority of villas I have rented over these years have not been update by the owners. Most look tired.However, we were fortunate enough to extend our stay an additional night this last visit in a Pelican Watch villa 1372. This is one of the better villas we have been in for quite sometime. It was freshly painted and well appointed. At the rates they charge for the villas more of them should be this well maintained and appointed.
I had to buy a electric skillet because the cookware was poor. Had to buy a can oppener theirs was to week to open a can. Could use some more large serving bowls. I bought some plastic ones and left the small ones there.Replaced light bulbs because the ones there were not bright enough. We loved the place and the view is marvelous and planning on coming back next year. (will bring my own electric fry pan) Also might bring a 12 cup coffee maker. Their 6 cup is not enough.
We had a good time -only negative was the condo sun porch was very close to the next door neighbors ( if we were both outside at the same time it felt like you were hanging out with them) and it was further from the beach than I expected (bike rentals were super over priced) Otherwise, nice experience.
The condo was nice but a little too far from the beach. We loved the view from the sunroom porch. We did have a little trouble with ants in the kitchen area however the condo was clean, bright and nicely furnished.
